Template guides
Contract and consent form template guides
Plain-English guides to the paperwork service businesses need: what each document should cover, wording you can adapt, and the mistakes that cost money. Each one links to an editable template if you would rather not start from a blank page.
Freelancers and consultants
- Freelance web design contract template. Web projects stall for the same reasons: content arrives late, "one more page" appears, and nobody agreed who pays for hosting.
- Consulting agreement template. Consulting work goes wrong in predictable ways: the engagement quietly grows, expenses become a debate, or the client blames you for a decision they made.
- Social media manager contract template. A good social media management contract stops the three arguments every SMM eventually has: who pays for ads, who owns the accounts, and why the follower count didn't double.
- Virtual assistant client onboarding templates. The first week with a new client decides whether they stay for a year.
- Photography contract template. A photography contract protects the date you hold, the images you own and the timeline you promise.
Local service businesses
- Cleaning service contract template. Most cleaning disputes come from four things: getting locked out, last-minute cancellations, something breaking, and what "clean" was supposed to include.
- Tutoring contract template. Tutors rarely lose money on teaching.
- Personal trainer contract and waiver template. Before a first session, a trainer needs three things on file: an agreement on packages and cancellations, a health questionnaire, and a signed liability waiver.
Lash and skin businesses
- Lash extension consent form template. A good lash consent form does two jobs: it helps you spot clients who shouldn't have the treatment today, and it records that they understood the risks and the aftercare.
- Esthetician consent form templates. Skin treatments go wrong when a key detail is missed: a client on isotretinoin booked for a wax, or a retinoid nobody asked about before a peel.
